Hudson Valley Hospital Announces "Active Aging Week"
Schedule of Events
Cortlandt Manor, NY – Hudson Valley Hospital is proud to announce their participation in “Active Aging Week.” Active Aging Week is an annual event held the last full week of September (prior to October 1, International Day of Older Persons). The week was initiated by the International Council of Active Aging to give as many older adults as possible the means to experience activities and exercise in a safe, friendly and fun atmosphere.
“The World Health Organization, national health agencies and the New York State Department of Health are all sending the same message: By staying active and involved in life, aging adults are more healthy, happy and able to contribute to the community. A t Hudson Valley Hospital, we know that’s true, and we want to help Baby Boomers and their elders choose an active life,” stated John Federspiel, President Hudson Valley Hospital Center.
