A New Digital Mammography Suite at Hudson Valley Hospital Center

Leibell, HVHC CEO and President John Federspiel, HVHC VP of Administration Deborah Neuendorf, and Chairman of Radiology Maurice Poplausky, MD officially opened the state-of-the-art suite, which features digital and film technology, reflecting cutting-edge practice in mammography. A New York State grant sponsored by Sen. Leibell provided funding for the digital mammography equipment.

The new Digital Mammography Suite at HVHC.“This is an exciting time for Hudson Valley Hospital Center,” said Mr. Federspiel. “The mammogram is the first line of defense against breast cancer, and our patients can have an appointment within a week and a choice in the type of mammogram they get, while waiting in a private, soothing setting. We thank the senator for his generous gift.”
Senator Leibell said that Hudson Valley Hospital Center “has always been a fantastic hospital… This is an exciting time in the health arena. Americans will not only live longer, we’ll live better. The key is maintaining good health. Hudson Valley Hospital Center is a jewel in the community of hospitals in New York State.”
